For one day in November, dubbed ‘Giving Tuesday’, Still and Bloom pledged to donate 20% of the value of all orders they received to Friends of PICU. it without them. Kerry Houghton from Friends of PICU popped into the workshop to thank the business. Kerry said: “We are always incredibly grateful for all the support and donations we receive, and we were absolutely delighted that Still and Bloom chose to support Friends of PICU. It’s a really busy time for the charity and this donation will help us purchase some of the specialist equipment we are currently funding for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.” PICU sees children admitted to the unit from 27 referring hospitals across the South of England and the Channel Islands and from the various children’s wards at Southampton Children’s Hospital for specialist care by the skilled and dedicated team. As a small, family business, we know what a difference having a sense of community makes and the difference even a small donation can make.” Nick and his family have also had rst-hand experience with having a baby under the care of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton. Nick added: “My son, Billy, was born nearly seven weeks prematurely; he spent a few days in PICU. It was an overwhelming and terrifying time.
