Pete the Chairman, chaperoned by his Finance Manager, took the order from the 18 attendees, all was good until one member forgot what he had ordered! Well, what does one expect with the ages of the members? Hilarity from a distance as the writer tucked into the chips with battered sausage, whilst a bit of ‘chaos’ prevailed resulting in a plaice and chips being swapped for a haddock and chips, once sorted the food was enjoyed with tea/co ee and culminated in the evening ra e. Job done and no return to the Fish and Chip shop! Everybody was happy and ready to waddle to their cars... but Pete had the evening agenda to go through, groans a er being well fed and ready to fall asleep! Christmas Lunchtime dinner members awoke at the mention of more nosh, which was arranged for 17th December. e ursday morning meeting on 25th September was set for Broadlands Fisheries Cafe/Club House - even more nosh sorted! One maybe under the illusion that this is a A30/A35 car club but previous readers of the excellent Herald will be aware that this club likes its ‘nosh’ and social chat, both alternate bi-weekly evenings and mornings. Normal venue for the evening meeting on 2nd Thursday of the month is Netley Marsh Community Hall, Woodlands Road, Netley Marsh, SO40 7GE, 7.15pm for 7.30pm.
