It was a joyful day lled with laughter, local stalls, games, and the highlight of the a ernoon — a spirited tug of war that brought out the best of our village camaraderie. We’re already looking forward to building on this success next year, with hopes of making the tug of war an annual tradition and expanding the fête even further. As we turn towards the festive season, preparations are underway for our Christmas Fayre on 6th December. is magical event will bring together residents and visitors for an evening of seasonal cheer, cra s, food, and entertainment. It’s a perfect opportunity to support local makers and enjoy the warmth of our community. In addition to our seasonal events, we’re proud to have co-founded a successful monthly co ee morning at Jubilee Hall, held on the first Thursday of each month. It’s a relaxed and welcoming space for neighbours to catch up over a cuppa. We also serve refreshments at the community cinema, also at Jubilee Hall, on the first Saturday of every month, helping to make these lm nights even more enjoyable. e Fawley Events Committee is a non-pro t organisation run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to bringing people together through inclusive, family-friendly events. From seasonal celebrations to community fundraisers, everything we do is rooted in the spirit of togetherness and local pride. We’re always looking for new volunteers to join our team — whether you can lend a hand for an hour or help plan an event, your contribution makes a real di erence. If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to us via our Facebook page or speak to one of our committee members. Together, we’re making Fawley a vibrant and welcoming place to live.
