At the September meeting it was a watch and do with all necessary components for an arrangement provided by the club. Marion Catt kindly led the evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. For the Love of Snowdrops Hobbycraft Southampton Launches New Craft Workshops In-store Hobbycraft in Southampton has launched new workshops in-store for local cra ers to try their hand at a new talent. e workshops are designed and hosted by Hobbycra Artisans or cra experts. Each host will bring their expertise in speci c areas of cra to organise a class that encourages people to cra together and provides an opportunity to master a new cra or re ne a long-time favourite. e price of the workshop includes a cra kit, with all the tools and accessories required to complete the project. After a short Annual General Meeting, author John Clarke will give a presentation on ‘Hampshire’s Rare Birds’. Meetings start at 7.30pm and are held in the Lyndhurst Community Centre, central car park, High Street, Lyndhurst SO43 7NY (doors open at 7pm). STOURHEAD TO STANPIT New Forest and Waterside U3A’s next meeting is on Tuesday 17th October for a talk by Ron Taylor titled ‘Stourhead to Stanpit’. Tea and biscuits are available a er the talk, and the meeting ends at approximately 3.30pm. New Forest and Waterside have many interest groups such as gardening, history, discussion, skittles and much more. ere is usually a lunch once a month and a holiday once a year. Other activities have included a visit to Bath Christmas Market, Hilliers for the lights, Lepe House open garden and theatre trips.
